Billie Eilish has found a way to merge pandemic safety protocol with her passion for covering herself in huge swaths of logo-printed fabric.
The pop star showed what she’s been getting up to when not encouraging young people to vote for Joe Biden, posting a series of images to her Instagram account on Thursday in a look guaranteed to promote social distancing thanks to the sheer volume of clothing alone, shrouding herself in layers upon layers of designer goods. For the social media shoot, the singer swaddled herself in a $980 bright red Gucci throw blanket piled on a smaller, matching $440 red and blue Gucci kids blanket atop a black button-up, red airbrushed sweatpants, and $1,590 red Gucci Flashtrek crystal-covered sneakers. She completed her undercover ensemble with a $495 Gucci web and kingsnake print silk scarf tied babushka-style over her head, red-lensed half-moon sunglasses, and a red face mask bedecked with silver rhinestone fringe. She completed the post by instructing her fans to “relax” via the caption.
This particular look might get a little sweaty in California’s balmy weather, but if you really have to go out in public, encasing yourself in five, thick woolen blankets pulled straight off your bed is a great way to evade the paparazzi while fending off unwanted physical contact without sacrificing an iota of your hypebeast status.
