CNN:  Did you want to just read the article?  TOUGH!  You need to wait until this video loads and autoplays.

The smart money is on Harris.  My personal first pick is Warren, second is Duckworth.

I think a lot of people don’t understand the vetting process and think it’s like a job interview.

Candidate X is so dreamy! Candidate X also has some unfortunate photos from highschool, a stint in jail that hasn’t been public yet, and some offshore holdings that might give rise to uncomfortable questions.

Candidate Y is boring but has a spotless history.

But if you do your vetting right, no one knows and all we’re left with is “Aw, why’d the boring one get picked?! Doom! DOOM!”

nekom: The smart money is on Harris.  My personal first pick is Warren, second is Duckworth.

I would be extremely happy with Warren, especially in the role as VP if the Senate winds-up being a 50/50 split. But since Biden’s pick has a better than 50/50 chance of actually becoming POTUS before 2024, the idea of Orangemandius being followed by a minority lady, who is also a decorated and permanently wounded war veteran, makes my cynical heart glow. Also, it would give the men and women in uniform someone they could vote for proudly, considering her family’s history of service, her own service, and her focus on veteran’s issues (which is what drew her to politics in the first place).

If they’re gonna pick an Obama adviser, instead of someone who holds an elected office, go with Valerie Jarrett. Then, we sit back and wait for Roseanne to fill her ambien prescription.

Biden said he would have a Republican first , then he stated it would be a woman. Moderates want a minority over any actual policy substance.

Joe Biden’s VP will be Condoleezza Rice!

If it’s the same to all of you, I’d like to go the rest of my life without hearing the word Benghazi.

Kamala Harris is my pick.

Leave the Senators in their seats where they’re needed!

But Jared’s Whatsapp!

Duckworth is the pick if your goal is to get to 270.  She helps in states Biden is going to need to win:  Michigan, Wisconsin, perhaps Pennsylvania.

Rice is the pick if your goal is to have a VP who can jump in if Biden dies.  She has a CV that rivals George H.W. Bush’s circa 1980.

Harris is the pick if your goal is to rack up a 10 million vote popular margin and still potentially wind up losing the electoral college.  She’s not bad.  She just brings nothing to the EV table.

Warren is the pick if your goal is to lose.  Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to have her as Vice President, but she’s just not the right choice.

Anyone else?  And you’ve gone from the “Who’s Who” to the “Who?,” and you don’t have the national name Biden needs to win.

Who is the best presidential candidate? Someone that could be most likely be elected of their own merit. They’re likely going to run on their own ticket for 2024.

To give whoever the VP is the most runway to get up to speed as a president in their own right I’m expecting a Biden resignation on or about Jan 22, 2023.

Every time I read one of your inane posts I hear ‘Achy Breaky Heart’ playing. So stop it.

Really not sure why the media first pimped Demings, then Bottoms, then Bass, and now Rice.

Anyone but Harris? What does the MSM have against Harris?

Or is this more “horse race!” nonsense, just at the VP level?

There’s always Hillary!

His VP should be Hillary Clinton.

What could go wrong?

I like Rice or Demings because that means Uncle Joe can explode some GOP brains with:

AG Harris

Treasury Secretary Warren

Defense Secretary Duckworth

NONE of them bring any EVs to the table.

Bass is from California as well, Rice is from

DC, Bottoms isn’t going to move the needle one iota in Georgia, and Demings isn’t going to move the needle one iota in Florida.

Stop thinking the same rules apply in 2020. Besides, the last time a VP pick help carry a state was 1960.

Stop this Bullshiat.

What about Gretchen Whitmer?

rjakobi: If it’s the same to all of you, I’d like to go the rest of my life without hearing the word Benghazi.

Same. Why muddy the waters out of the gate?

Does anyone really think the MSM knows or cares about Benghazi? They just want controversy so they’ll amp it as much as possible.

We need to stop assuming we’re going to get a fair shake in the media or assuming they are dedicated to truth.

Here are my thoughts…

1. Rice is the best choice for a long list of reasons.  But the principal reasons are that she is intelligent, strong, and well spoken.  And, if Biden doesn’t make it through his term, she would be excellent to take the top spot.

2. Warren is second because she is also intelligent and well spoken.  But she seems to have some people against her.  Don’t know why.

3. Harris.  Might even be better than Rice, except for one thing.  She is needed right where she is.  In the Senate.

I am not aware of any others in the running.

Biden will be a one term President.  This should be about elevating someone to be the next President.  Putting that person on the top stage and hoping that they can carry themselves forward into that leadership position.

If he’s not doing that, then it doesn’t really help us in the long run.

Kamala Harris is the better choice between her and Susan Rice for VP because Harris is far better at slipping and dodging political BS. I doubt the rightwing ratf*ckers will be able to get anything stick to Harris while the right was able to get some of the Benghazi BS stick to Rice.

/Rice for Secretary of State

Pick Obama as VP! Watch sparks fly! (Can he pick Obama? I mean…. Obama can’t be president but nobody said anything about vice president)

rjakobi: If it’s the same to all of you, I’d like to go the rest of my life without hearing the word Benghazi.

2020 Election: Donald Trump (R) vs Burisma Benghazi (D)!  It’ll make you want to claw your eyes out and stab pencils in your ears!

Le sigh.

I also like Harris, because the only dirt on her is that she’s a filthy bootlicking fascist who maybe got in politics on her back.  Neither of which bothers me in the slightest, because Republicans look stupid and uncredible complaining that a Democrat is “too law & ordery” and calling female Democratic politicians sluts is one of the few attacks that actually routinely backfires on Republicans.

Also we need Law & Ordery Democrats after this summer of nonsense.  Now is a bad time to be seen as criminal coddling bleeding hearts with a callous disregard for innocent victims.

durbnpoisn: 2. Warren is second because she is also intelligent and well spoken.  But she seems to have some people against her.  Don’t know why.

Because she’ll wreck Wall Street.

It is basically guaranteed that CA will appoint then reelect a Democrat to her Senate seat.

Because they have stories on all the shortlisters prepped in case it goes that way. The campaigns purposefully obfuscate the choice until the announcement. I think it was Kerry that had three different signs for the three finalists printed heading up to the announcement.

Even the vetting includes alot of cloak and dagger. Secret charters out pf the way airports. Unless you’re Joe and come out in your aviators greeting people going, “I’m Joe Biden! How are you?!” At some out of the way airfield in Wisconsin while Obama was in Milwaukee. True story.

The final choice may be someone we have yet to discuss.

No matter who Biden picks there will be extensive whining.  The alternative is another four years of Don the Con and the demise of America.  So whine away.

“I don’t know I just didn’t like Hillary.”

That worked in 2016, right?

If he picks Rice, though, she will get hammered for the four people that died at Benghazi.  Four!  Can you imagine such a huge and devastating death toll?!  No way anyone ever survives that!

Nothing is convincing me that any of these trial balloons are serious.

DrFuko: Pick Obama as VP! Watch sparks fly! (Can he pick Obama? I mean…. Obama can’t be president but nobody said anything about vice president)

No, a VP must be eligible for the presidency.

I’m better than OK with that.

The GOP and MSM seem to be trying to make this happen

French Rage: If he picks Rice, though, she will get hammered for the four people that died at Benghazi.  Four!  Can you imagine such a huge and devastating death toll?!  No way anyone ever survives that!

If it had been 160k and counting the Republicans wouldn’t care.

Okay then.  She moves up to slot 2.

Visual Howlaround Title Sequence: Anyone but Harris? What does the MSM have against Harris?

She’s a bootlicking fascist.  That is she was a prosecutor and like, if you can believe it, thinks crime is bad, and that criminals should go to jail.

Tulsi. Only Tulsi.

Harris is a poor choice with her prosecutor background, given the current political climate.

Harris would be a mistake, after the year we’ve had.

She can do the same from the Senate.

I’m not sure how the ambassador to the UN is responsible for embassy security.

I think the biggest double edged sword with rice is that she does not ever seem to suffer fools lightly. As much as i would love to see her completely obliterate Pence in front of a national audience.

durbnpoisn: Harris. Might even be better than Rice, except for one thing. She is needed right where she is. In the Senate.

Eyup. Watching her rake idiots like Cornyn over the coals is part of what’s keeping me alive.

kkinnison: The GOP and MSM seem to be trying to make this happen

Normally that would make me wary, but part of why I want Susan Rice is to appeal to defectors from the Republican party such as James Comey.

Going for that gman demographic isn’t a bad idea.

Let’s kick Vladimir Putin’s ass, again!
